Pension in payment

When and how your pension is paid

What are the payment dates of my pension?

Payday is the penultimate day of each month, but when the date is a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday, payment will be made on the previous working day.

Monthly payments are made to your chosen bank or building society account.

If you have recently retired, your first monthly pension payment will include any arrears if your pension start date related to a previous month, and any lump sum will be paid separately.
